Reopening Rockford: Winnebago Co. Health Dept. Issues Guidance
|

The Winnebago County Health Department (“WCHD”) has issued suggested guidance for restaurants, bars, childcare and youth summer programs, and places of worship reopening under Phase 3 of Governor Pritzker’s Restore Illinois Plan. The WCHD guidance for places of worship covers issues such as maintaining empty rows, eliminating shaking hands and other physical contact, and cleaning requirements after each service. Similar guidelines are suggested for childcare and youth summer programs, including keeping children separated during lunch and snack times, as well as eliminating field trips and activities where children will be less than six feet in proximity to one another. The WCHD guidance for restaurants and bars also focuses on social distancing and limiting dining to outdoor tables only. The WCHD has issued a checklist for restaurants and bars to use in complying with the guidelines.

We will continue to monitor the business reopening plans both locally and at the state level and will provide updates when warranted. Please contact us with any questions you might have. We are here to help you make it through these challenging times.
