Timothy Scordato
About
Timothy M. Scordato is an associate at Reno & Zahm LLP, where his practice focuses on civil and commercial litigation, appeals, elder law, non-profit, municipal, and employment law. Mr. Scordato is admitted to practice law in the State of Illinois and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Also, he is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association.
Mr. Scordato earned his Juris Doctor from Widener University Delaware Law School, where he was manuscript editor of the Widener Law Review and served as a law clerk for the Environmental and Natural Resources Law Clinic. His article, Bridge Over Troubled Water: Reconciling the Circuit Courts’ Split Over Rapanos v. United States, was published in the Environmental Law and Management journal in Oxford, England.
Prior to joining Reno & Zahm LLP, Mr. Scordato served as a law clerk for the City of Wilmington, DE, Assistant General Counsel at the Northwestern Illinois Area Agency on Aging in Rockford, IL, and Trial Court Staff Attorney for the 18th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida.
Beyond his legal practice, Mr. Scordato is Chair of the Board of The Haitian Project, a non-profit which supports and oversees Louverture Cleary School, a secondary boarding school which provides a rigorous, tuition-free education to academically-talented and motivated students outside of Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Mr. Scordato enjoys learning and speaking Brazilian Portuguese with his wife, snorkeling, playing tennis and pickleball, reading and writing philosophy-
